Scheduling & Notifications

Lush Lawn Care Logo
Each service has its own timing and visit frequency (listed on the service pages), and we schedule you accordingly. You’ll receive a notification the day before we arrive, and service is typically completed between 8:00am–6:00pm. Weather can occasionally shift dates (especially for spraying, seeding, or heavy rain days), but we keep your program on track and communicate any changes as needed.

You do not need to be home when we arrive! All we require is access to the backyard and animals to be indoors.

Lush Lawn Care makes re-scheduling easy. Just contact us and we’ll book a more convenient time.

You can leave large items such as outdoor furniture, trampolines, and play houses in place. Our technicians will carefully spray under and around these items without spraying the items themselves. It is however recommended that these items be moved a few times throughout the summer so the grass receives the light it needs to survive. For more info and tips, you can visit our Blog.

Not a problem! Just indicate how much notice you require in the “additional comments/questions” section and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Please be aware that the further away the notice, the less precise it will be.

Just Contact Us explaining the situation and we will either help (e.g., turning off sprinkler, moving a few toys, locking gate after finishing) or reschedule.

Yes, it’s a good idea to mow your lawn before our visit, but it’s not mandatory. Mowing ensures better access to the soil, allowing our treatments to work more effectively. For services like lawn aeration, shorter grass helps the equipment reach deeper into the soil. Proper preparation helps maximize the results of your Edmonton lawn care service, so your lawn thrives throughout the season.

How To Prepare

Please unlock gates, bring pets inside, and clear the lawn of small items (toys, hoses, sprinklers). If you have anything we should avoid (fresh sod, gardens, sensitive plants, newly repaired irrigation), please let us know ahead of time. A little prep helps us work efficiently and ensures we can treat the full area properly.

We recommend mowing the day before the visit if possible, as short grass helps the aerator dig deep. As for watering, ensure the soil is moist on the day of the application for best results. Flag sprinklers or shallow lines. Clear the lawn and unlock gates.

No special prep beyond access and clearing small items. If the lawn is very dry, a light watering the day before helps product move into the soil.

Avoid weeding/weed wacking before the visit. More contact area allows for more product to be absorbed. Keep kids and pets inside at the time of the application.

If you’ve noticed nests or trails, let us know the locations. Keep pets inside and ensure access to problem areas.

After Care & Results

After treatments, keep kids and pets off the lawn until it’s dry (usually 1–2 hours). Watering and mowing timing depends on the service, but in general: avoid mowing immediately before/after a treatment, and follow the watering guidance provided in your visit notes. Some results are fast (greening and weed yellowing), while others take time (thickening from overseeding). We focus on steady improvement across the season, not quick fixes that fade.
